Proceeds from the school's Harvest Moon dance earlier this fall were donated to the Prince George County Animal Shelter, showcasing Moore's Junior BETA Club's commitment to giving back to their community.

Please see the following message from PGCPS Division Superintendent Dr. Wayne Lyle regarding the division's commitment to distraction-free education in our schools following the Prince George School Board's approval of a local policy regarding personal communications device usage by students.

During the summit at Great Wolf Lodge last month, Moore's Junior BETA Club students showcased their knowledge through various activities, including problem-solving challenges and a project proposal. The event also included guest speakers and group activities, fostering teamwork and learning among the participating students.

The activity has become a recurring tradition for J.E.J. Moore Middle School, serving as an engaging experience for their sixth and seventh graders that unifies a variety of subjects while also inspiring thoughtful teamwork and collaboration between students.

Report cards for the first nine weeks of the 2024-25 School Year are now available in ParentVUE, with students bringing paper copies of their report cards home with them by the end of the week.

As students transition into the next grading period, which runs through mid-January 2025, over 1,900 PGCPS students will carry perfect attendance status into the second nine weeks.

This year, thanks to raffle donations and monetary gifts from vendors at the Prince George County Farmers' Market, Austyn Grant and her family raised hundreds of dollars to benefit the Bon Secours Southside Cancer Center.

During their lab session, each group of students explored four different kitchens, working together to identify potential safety hazards and discuss any intriguing findings.
