Prince George County Public Schools' 2024-25 School Year Calendar is now available for viewing and download on the division's website following the Prince George School Board's approval of the 12-month calendar in January.

This coming school year features a first day of school date for students of Monday, August 19, 2024, and a last day of school for students of Thursday, May 29, 2025.
Key dates about the upcoming calendar include the following:
- August 5-6: New Teacher Orientation
- August 7: All Teachers Report (Building-Based Professional Development)
- August 8: Convocation & IgnitePG Conference - Day 1 (Division-Wide Professional Development)
- August 9: (A.M.) IgnitePG Conference - Day 2, (P.M.) Teacher Workday
- August 12: Division-Wide Professional Development (Speciality Groups)
- August 13-16: Teacher Workday / Building-Based Professional Development
- August 19: First Day of School
- November 5: Teacher Workday / Building-Based Professional Development
- January 15: Teacher Workday / Building-Based Professional Development
- May 29: Last Day of School
- May 30: Teacher Workday / Building-Based Professional Development, Graduation Day
Additionally, we are able to share information regarding dates and times for the district's orientation sessions for the upcoming school year.
- Prince George High School - August 13, 2024, 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.
- N.B. Clements Junior High School - August 14, 2024, 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.
- J.E.J. Moore Middle School - August 15, 2024, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- All Elementary Schools - August 15, 2024, A.M. Sessions
- Note: Your Child’s School Will Share Specific Times Prior to Orientation Day, But All Orientation Sessions for Elementary Campuses Will Take Place During the Morning of August 15, 2024. Visit Your Child’s School Website for Updates Prior to Orientation Day.
