Career & Technical Education
Career and Technical Education (CTE) provides students with opportunities to explore interests, develop valuable skills, and learn about the many career pathways available to them in the future. Through engaging, hands-on learning experiences, students are introduced to real-world concepts and industries while building skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and critical thinking.
At J.E.J. Moore Middle School, CTE courses help students discover their strengths and interests while making meaningful connections between classroom learning and future educational and career opportunities. Students may explore areas such as technology, engineering, business, health sciences, and other career fields through age-appropriate, project-based learning experiences.
Middle school CTE programs are designed to spark curiosity and broaden students' understanding of the world around them. By introducing career exploration at an early age, students can begin identifying interests and developing skills that will support their success in high school, postsecondary education, and future careers.
